Elite Sports Properties: Web Development
2006
It might seem strange using this image as the cover for my time here, but sadly, like most of my work from this time, there is no longer much trace online or whatever is left is simply not useable or visible thanks to the demise of Flash.
I had just graduated from my Bachelor of Multimedia Systems Design course at RMIT. It was a new course that the uni had only created the year before I enrolled (2000) and was a mix of computer science, design, and business.
We did subjects ranging from C++ to 3D modelling/animation, web development, motion graphics through to entrepreneurship and business administration.
I included a lot of the work from these subjects in my folio and it caught the eye of Ben Jarris, who was the manager of ESP Creative, the in-house creative agency for Elite Sports Properties.
I ended up being hired and worked at ESP from 2006 through to late 2007. The role ended up being a mix of design, development (Flash, HTML, CSS and later PHP/ASP) as well as account management.
Below you can see an example of a membership site and top-down racing game we built in Flash for Holden Racing Team Australia
It was an awesome experience working with a talented team where I learned plenty and made some close friends. Our clients included: Holden Racing Team, Commonwealth Games Australia, and many more.
As soon as I can find some old screenshots or examples of work here I will update this page.
