Australia Post: Flash and full stack development
2009
Brief
Build an interactive website for a campaign to celebrate the 200 years of Australia Post including the 'Letters of a Nation' promotion.
Context
Built during my time at Rodeo, a digital agency in South Melbourne.
This campaign ran as a celebration of Australia Post’s Bicentenary, the site featured a letter entry mechanism where users could submit letters they thought were of historic value, these then passed through a moderation CMS where they were scrutinised before being set live onto the Flash frontend.
Solution
The site also features a complete working HTML backup for users with older non-flash browsers.
My roles included Flash development, PHP and AMFPHP services for Flash remoting to the frontend, setting up the standalone PHP/HTML site, as well as regular maintenance and updates to the site.
