Sportsgirl: Custom microsite for a campaign

Brief

Work with tkm9 agency to build the front-end for a micro-site to support a national campaign for Sportsgirl.

Context

The main campaign involved an icecream truck that travelled around Australia and stopped at various sites. The truck was kitted out with a large screen TV and some sensors that would detect the clothing you were wearing and give you a free icey pole of that matched the colour.

Solution

The site was to support this campaign by tracking the whereabouts of the truck as well as providing some interactive functionality for users to try.

We worked with tkm9 designers and developers to deliver the complete front-end build of the site and maintain it as the campaign rolled out. It featured some interactive mini-games as well as a live view of the truck location as well as photos posted from each live site stop and other social media feeds and integrations.

Some key points:

  • Map Box integration and customisation for tracking the truck
  • jQuery based animations for the navigation and interactive elements
  • Live Twitter feed moderation and import/display
  • Mobile specific frontend for smaller devices.
